Today, our U.S partner Ryan had the privilege of returning to his alma mater, Michigan State University, to share his entrepreneurial journey with two Master's in Accounting classes. Invited by his former professor, Ryan delivered a compelling presentation on the intersection of accounting and entrepreneurship, focusing on the transition from accounting roles to the broader business landscape.
During the session, Ryan introduced students to Monteaco's Jungle Oolong and Rainbow Blend teas, offering a sensory experience that underscored the importance of product differentiation and quality in business. He shared insights into Monteaco, detailing the company's journey from Monsoon Tea Company to establishing a presence in Europe and the U.S. Students participated in a hands-on exercise, analyzing the cost structure of Monteaco's products by evaluating the tin can packaging. This activity highlighted the complexities of pricing strategies and the role of accounting in decision-making.
