Lahu Yellow

Introducing Lahu Yellow, our latest addition to our lineup of Forest Friendly Teas from Northern Thailand!

While most people are aware of black, green, white and oolong tea, yellow tea is still a unique sight on the international tea market. The production of yellow tea varies between producers and regions, but all yellow tea involves a heating process much like green tea. Before the tea is dried, the leaves are trapped within a cloth, encapsulating the moisture and allowing the leaves to oxidize and ferment the tea to a certain degree, turning leaves into a more yellow colour. 

Yellow tea tends to have a softer and more mellow flavour than green teas and offer a unique drinking experience for those looking for something different to try.

Brewing instructions: 

85-90c, 2-3 minutes. Feel free to experiment with temperature and time and brew the tea multiple times to experience the change in flavour during the tasting journey.
